I bought these boots in preparation for an REI hike down and around the Grand Canyon. The hike was rated strenuous. I bought these boots two months before the hike and used them to train in the mountains around around our house. I had no trouble with the boots on these hikes. First day of Grand Canyon we hiked 11 miles down to the Colorado River, over boulders and rough terrain. I had a few blisters and significant trauma to three toenails (which I have since lost). 3 more days of hiking didn't help the situation :) I know this was probably about me and the fact I did not think about my feet at all given the terrain was new to me and often treacherous. So many people have said they didn't need a break in time I just wanted to add that if you are going to do a strenuous hike, take the time to break the Keens in properly beforehand. Many people wore lighter, more flexible boots and their feet fared much better in the Grand Canyon.

As usual with Keens, these fit great and feel wonderful. I sized up a half size as I usually do with Keens, and they are perfect. So comfortable. I love them. I wish that they came in a water repellant style.

I use this for hikes in excess of 10 miles or more and it holds up well. I wore them straight out of the box from day one & found them to be very comfortable. No break in period was needed, no blisters at all.

I am very pleased with this purchase ~ the boots are comfortable and give me confidence in their ability to perform for desired purchase of hiking, walking and all outdoors activity. They have a great arch support and good traction.

I bought this pair to replace another that I have worn out. My toes went numb with the break in period, but after that they are very comfortable with lots of toe room and never a blister. They are lightweight, but have held up to off trail use.

I was looking forward to receiving my boots and decided to "test" them out with a 3-mile, 1500' vertical foot hike with my dogs in Colorado. The boots performed so well - no blisters, rubbing, or any of the annoyances I've previously experienced. Yeah Keen!
