    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought the Venice sandal a year ago and have worn them a lot. They were very comfortable, supportive and great for walking or long days on my feet. I expected the same in these and wanted them for a walking trip. I had to return mostly because size was off, but also because of the unpleasant rubber footbed. This would only make them good for water use, but with no back that would be impractical too. I will buy another Venice instead.
