They were too narrow - sadly, they had to go back.

I'm a huge Keen fan! They are the most comfy shoes I've ever worn in my life, so I have many pairs. The Winterport shoe is another winner, although it runs smaller than usual Keens. I have Keens in 9.5 and 10, but after reading reviews, I ordered a 10.5 in this style and it was perfect, even allowing fairly thick socks. These are nice and warm & cozy with the insulation. I find them very comfortable and not too warm. My feet did not perspire in them, but I'd guess some might. They're very solid, with a very chunky lug sole and provide a very stable base. The "biking red" color is really a mauve / pinkish color, which I love. One interesting characteristic...I can slip my foot into them (with just a little force) even with the laces tied, and they're still snug enough to wear without re-tying them. For me this is a real bonus as I have hand problems. Overall, just a wonderful cool/cold weather shoe from Keen!

Keen never fails. I have round feet with high arches and their shoes seem to always fit me perfectly. I ordered size 8, but I'm actually a 7.5 wide, and they fit fine. Don't let the red color on these clearance shoes intimidate you. I was worried about the red, but wanted the clearance price. When they arrived, I was pleased to find that they are actually a very soft, dusty rose and grey color--not bright at all. I started with Keen shoes 3 summers ago when I committed to buying only eco-conscious products. I got the Newport Sandals, which I wore on a 5 mile run right out of the box. I've used these every spring and summer for everything: street and trail running, casual wear, and hiking/backpacking. They are still holding strong, and now that I've started doing winter sports, I decided to get a pair of Keen shoes for off-season. These Wintersport Trail shoes are my cold weather version of the sandals, and they are awesome! Again, right out of the box I went on an 11 mile dayhike in the Cascades in 35 degree weather. They kept my feet warm and dry the entire time, even when going through water. The only issue I had was that they slid forward slightly when going downhill, putting some pressure on my big toes. The cushion and shock absorbsion was very good. Since the hike, I've tried them for trail running, street running, and city walking. Again, no problems. I live in Seattle, which is very rainy in the winter, and these guys live up to their waterproof promise. These are great cross training shoes that can be used beyond hiking, for sure. I've gone from owning 6 different pairs of shoes and boots to just owning my 2 Keen shoes. Get yourself the sandals for spring and summer and the Wintersport Trail shoes for fall and winter. That's all you need for everything! Plus, you'll be lowering your carbon footprint. :-)

Shoes DO run a half-size small. I ordered a half-size bigger than usual and they fit well. Worn a few times so far and pleased with them, though they are hefty shoes. (don't get these if you want to run in them.) I'll use on snow & ice days, plus for hiking/trail walks, during fall and winter. Very durable and warm.

I normally wear an 8.5 shoe, but with Keen I usually have to wear an 9. I received these in a 9 and they were too short.

I own the Winterport boots and these trail shoes are no where near as comfortable as the boots. I have over 30 pair of Keen shoes and I would say this is the first uncomfortable shoe I have and even though it arrived today, I will be returning tomorrow. Not the usual cushion on the inside of the shoes, found the footbed to be hard. Disappointed as I love the style of the shoe and dearly love my Winterport boots.

If Keen's sizing wasn't so totally mental, these would be great shoes. They look cool, seem well built, but Keen not only has their very own take on sizing, it isn't even consistent from shoe to shoe, so every time there's a good size and a half variation of what might fit. [...], I ordered a full size larger than I normally wear, and with regular socks, these shoes were too short and yet still managed to allow my heel to slip. Pretty much the two things you don't want in walking/hiking shoes. What a bummer.
