“I bought this bag to use as a pack duffel for air travel. It gets it's maiden voyage next week, but a trial packing run was better than expected. My fully loaded ~5000ci pack fits snugly in the XL with enough space left to stow extra layers or other loose gear, and the compression straps eliminate any unused space, so you have a nice, compact bundle that slings comfortably over your shoulder without the contents shifting around. It's a few dollars more than a proper pack duffel, but the construction quality and flexibility of this bag make it well worth it, although it is bulkier and and a bit heavier than other options.”
