“Bought this pack for my dear wife as a surprise after a 24 year absence from backpacking (kids, careers, etc.). In our mutual ignorance, we failed to pre-load it and make the myriad adjustments that were required for her body type. As a result, her first trip, a summit, was absolutely miserable! Once at camp, however, I went about the intricate task of disassembling the pack (man, it's like a rubic's cube for adjustments!) and made it very right for her for her descent. She began hating the thing and ended up excited about our next trip!”
