This pack is overall a good buy for the money. However, I tried a very similar one on at another store before I bought this one to make sure it would fit. When I got mine, it was too big and gapped under the shoulder straps. I ended up returning it.

I just bought this backpack and took it out for a two day, 15 miles hiking/camping trip. I loaded it with about 15-20 pounds and it was super comfortable. There are lots of pockets that allow easy access. For me, the best part about the backpack is that it is adjustable and made specifically for women. I am very small (I'm 5"1') and this backpack adjusted to fit my tiny frame. It was very comfortable. The color of the backpack was also better than I expected - not as bright green as in the picture. The only thing I wish was different is I wish that it came with a rain cover. We got caught in a thunderstorm and it would have been nice if I was able to keep my backpack dry. Most backpacks are water resistant, but I am not sure if this one is because I threw it into the tent. I'll have to buy a rain cover for it, which I don't mind at all because the backpack is awesome and I got it an unbeatable price!

The pack is great: lightweight, VERY comfortable, lots of little things that are super cool (hydration holes... I showed all my friends my new toy and that was my favorite part). The only thing I would change is there are no external straps to tie anything to the outside of the pack. Its 4500, so I guess most may not need it, but I backpack with creature comforts in mind and don't exactly cut the end of my toothbrush off, so I could've used an external strap to tie my sleeping pad onto the bag. Other than that - its wonderful!

I bought 10 of these super-bargain-priced, packs to take small groups of young people out for 1-2 night, beginner level backpacking trips, about two or three times/year. Been on three outings so far with no problems with any of the packs. There's plenty of space, pockets and padding. There have been no complaints at all from either beginners or more avid backpackers that have used these packs on our outings. One of the best features is the adjustability of the back panel to get a customized fit for one or multiple users. This will make these packs easier to sell later. BOTTOM LINE: Can't beat the price for a basic, recreational pack with a customizable, comfy fit. Perfect for short or occasional trips.

This pack has been wonderful. It had everything that I was looking for. I have used many different packs and had problems with them. My boyfriend and I now only use this one. He has the men's and I have the women's and we are both very satisfied with our packs.

I bought this pack for short backpacking trips, maybe 2 nights at most, and also for a two week vacation in Europe. I haven't used it yet, but right now I'm pleased with it. I bought it on sale and with a 25% coupon, so I got it darn cheap and absolutely pleased with that aspect. You might want to try it on first in a store or something. I bought this pack because it is supposed to help us short torso people, but I'm still having problems getting it to fit correctly. It's definitely not a serious pack, if you're willing to invest the money, there are better fitting packs available. I'm 5'7" but kind of a short torso and so far maybe I just don't have it adjusted correctly for that snug fit that's absolutely most important. Like I said, I haven't used it yet, but it seems to be a great pack made of durable materials and not too heavy. It looks to be able to handle a large or a small load pretty well with all the easy access adjustments. Great choice for me, the casual adventurer. I would recommend it to a friend anyday.

im pretty small (5'0") and this pack seems too small for me... im going to europe this summer and was planning to use this pack and thats it--but im going to have to bring another smaller bag as well. i would say its good for short hikes 2-3 days.
