The only complaint I have is a big one. The suspension systems "spine'' bulges outward into the center of the pack taking up most of the space. I'm hoping Sierra Trading Post will contact me & tell me whether or not it's safe to bend the spine inwards (without affecting the weight transfer or integrity of the pack)to allow more room inside the pack. Other than that big problem it would be a great pack. It's very comfortable, seems to be of good construction, & looks great. The lumbar supports & waist belt are especially comfortable. I just used it on a winter hike & was able to put my outer layer in the pack but that took up most of the main compartment.

ordered two of these at Christmas for my sons. they are both eagle scouts and hiked from georgia to north carolina on the appalachian trail after graduating college. they were both excited with the features and fit of this backpack. i relied on the reviews since i know nothing about buying hiking equipment. great purchase!

I have to say this is a great little pack. The quality and craftsmanship are top notch. This pack is used primarily during warmer months and is very capable for this role. It will easily hold a small sleeping bag, tarp, hammock, and enough food for a day or two. It is hydration capable, that can hold a 3L bladder, and also has two side pockets for water bottles. Another great feature is that there are plenty of pockets for other smaller items. I do prefer a beefier buckle than what is used however, so far, these are holding up. Of note the small buckles used are typical for bags of this size. Overall, I highly recommend this pack.
