Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
“Bought this tent for the Kelty name and the good price. It is easy to set up (only two poles and a couple clips). The fly is easy to set up too.
It is rated as a six man tent, but I wouldn't put six adults in it unless they literally wanted to be cramped like sardines. I'd say it fits four adults comfortably, maybe five if they don't mind being snug.
This is a heavy tent... don't try and backpack with this thing unless the tent is the only thing on your back. Good for car camping, though.
This tent has no "bells and whistles", only what you need standard in any tent -- three mesh windows with zip covers and a door. Couple (small) pockets in the inside, barely enough to hold any gear.
Seems to be waterproof. Haven't had it in the rain.
All in all, this is a meat and potatoes tent from a good name tent maker.”
