Verified Buyer Reviewed by TA from PA from NE Pennsylvania on Monday, May 19, 2014Just used this Kelty Palisade 6 tent for the first time this weekend. Lots of room for a 6 person tent, great headroom and the vestibule with cup holders would be handy for 2 or 3 people on a rainy day. It was a bit difficult for me to put up and take down, but it would have been a lot easier if I had another adult around to help. I have several tents, and as far as the larger ones I would say this required a bit more strength to assemble, especially assembling and disassembling the circular "Halo" stake. Maybe this will get easier as it wears in?
I was really impressed with the stability of this tent, if you have solid ground to stake it to I don't think 50 mph winds would knock this thing down. I have always had good luck with my Kelty products, in fact I sometimes use my Kelty Cyclone 4 tent from about 20 years ago and it is still waterproof. Can't beat quality products at STP prices!!!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by jmop from wa on Wednesday, May 14, 2014first time out tent was easy to set up held up decent in wind, my only complaint is the front vestibule could have more stake down points.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Camperers from San Francisco Bay Area on Thursday, May 1, 2014This tent was very easy to set up and take down. It is absolutely huge. So much so that we are concerned it won't fit at some camp sites. Fits a family of 4 with lots of gear and room to spare.
