Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hutch the Viking from Raleigh, NC on Tuesday, April 8, 2014Setup was fairly easy. It is much easier if you have a second person or a well meaning 8 year old! Plenty of room for a family of 4 and all our stuff. I really like the rain fly! I have only tested it in light rain but it more than out performed some other well known brands where the fly only covers the very top. As some other reviews have stated the stakes are not the best. It was an easy fix though so overall a great tent. Look forward to lots of camping this year!!!
Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Thursday, March 27, 2014Lots of room, so we can cheat and fit blow up mattresses for car camping.
Reviewed by Cfreeman from Missouri on Tuesday, March 25, 2014Straightforward set-up but does require an extra set of hands. Tent stood up well in 20-30 mph winds. Seams looks well sealed and stake points are reinforced. Only thing keeping from a 5-star rating is ventilation could be a bit better.
Reviewed by Camping Dad from Kentucky on Tuesday, March 18, 2014I have only had the chance to set this up for backyard use to see how big it will be. For our family of five it should be perfect. It will fit two queen air mattresses plus a 20 inch backpacking mat. Part of what drew me to this tent was the ability to hold everyone And still fit in smaller tent pads at campgrounds and I believe we can do that. I also like the ventilation capabilities of the windows while they are still covered by an awning created by the rainfly. The material should hold up as long as one is careful. I let my 8, 3, and 1 years old play in it for awhile and have no worries. The flor does feel thinner than many family tents I have had in the past, and I was a little worried about moisture coming through, but my yard was pretty wet as it had just thawed. Nothing came through, but I will still want a tarp underneath. I had read other reviews around the internet that complained of cheap stakes that came with the tent, but I think they will be fine for most applications as they are a fairly sturdy metal. Others also worried about the seams around the bottom as the tent does not have a true bathtub floor. With the exception of the corners though I don think the seams will be on the ground much. You could put seam grip in the corners if there was too much concern for a lot of rain, but I try to avoid camping with the kids when there is a good chance of storms. Overall a great product and I look forward to sing it more.
