An excellent bag! Perfect for the ADK extended hike and an overnight with tarp. And, packs everything for a long day at law school! Can you beat it!

I have some larger Kelty packs but chose this one as a commuter pack for work. This is just a little bit large for what I need but it has the better hip support that I didn't find on the smaller packs. I like the outside pockets and in general the very practical Kelty design.

I had been searching for a pack that could carry a hydration system, basic trail gear for myself and my dog, some camera gear and a decent size tripod. For whatever reason packs that combine enough room for day hike gear and camera gear are hard to find, or insanely expensive. The main things i wanted out of a bag was to have a hydration sleeve, decent carrying capacity and a simple way to carry a camera tripod. ( the liter size pockets on the sides of the bag with the two quick release straps on the sides of the bag work perfectly ) This bag covers everything i want for a extended day / photography hike, or a somewhat minimal multi-day backpacking trip. Bottom line is im very happy with this bag, including the great price from Sierra Trading Post.

Great pack for hiking/daytrips. Water bladder fits in easily, not like in some backpacks I've had. Side pockets are great for storing random things while hiking. You can fit a lot of stuff inside this bag. Comfortable, feels great to wear. Can't wait to go hiking with it again.

At 2650 cu in, good size for short or minimalist trip down a canyon or 2-3 day hike; lots of attachment spots, hydration bag, well-built.

I like having side pockets that will hold 1 liter water bottles so I can get to them easily. The different storage pockets make organizing easy and the external tie-ons make it a great winter day-pack for adding on snowshoes and extra gear.

I was very pleased when the bag arrived. Looking forward to using this on some day hikes in Wyoming in 2 weeks. Only complaint, though I knew it didn't have this feature, was that the hip strap is not removable. I chose this one over the women's sizing and it fits fine (and I'm only 5'4") I like the removable internal frame ribs.

I wanted a bag that I could use for school and also for day trips during the summer. There is plenty of room for all of my books. I don't like the hip straps when using it for school, but they are great for hiking. The bag works for day hikes or possibly a 1 nighter, depending on how much gear you usually take.

It's a great pack, with plenty of room for the clothes for the office and even a couple books and lunch besides. It's a nice shape so it doesn't seem overly large, but it is difficult to squeeze into a locker at the gym if I fill it up.
