We used this carrier for multiple family trips. Our son always loved riding in it. It saved us from having to manuever with a stroller. You have your hands free for bags.

We are spending the summer in the West Indies, and I got this carrier for an alternate way to carry my 18 month old when a stroller would be too awkward. I was on the fence about getting a carrier until I read all the glowing reviews here, but now I'm a believer. I've taken him around the block with it a few times, and he absolutely loves riding in it. He is on the small side (18 months and 22 pounds), so it's veryy comfortable for me to carry. I can see that it might be more of a chore to carry a larger child. There are lots of sizing adjustments--I'm still fine-tuning the fit, and it gets more comfortable each time. I also got the sun/rain shield. I think it will work out great for our summer--definitely seems worth the space it will take up in our luggage!

We purchased this pack then used it in a rigorous 8 mile day hike carrying our 28 pound 26 mo old along with day hike necessities. The pack performed flawlessly. The pack easily adjusts to fit almost any torso length, and includes detailed instructions for proper fit. I was initially concerned about the smallish internal frame, however I was comfortable (with small adjustments here and there) for the entire hike. I found this pack more comfortable than some traditional full framed child carriers that I have tried.

love the features. Have not used it yet. WE have the bigger modle and have use it a lot and love it. I am excited to have this one for our smaller trips. It looks to be just the right size to take on quick trips.

The Pack is easy to adjust between my husband and self. We got it as a 2nd pack, so that we can carry our 2 1/2 yr old in the external frame pack we already had and use this for our 8 month old, it's great because when the older girl gets tired we just unbuckle this one and change our youngest to it. I imagine it will also be good for when we fly and have to get around in the airport.

I live in Tokyo in Japan. The backpack was necessary to often get on the train and the bus. The size was not suitable for most backpacks. Kelty TC2.0Transit Child Carrier Pack has a lot of adjustment belts. I'm 4'11" and a size 36, it fit great! Heavy luggage and the child can also easily shoulder it.

Lovely design and concept. Drawback is if you have a lot of stuff in the backback AND your child likes to arch backwards. This product doesn't have the longer frame that the Kelty regular backpacks have, so I feel a bit off balance when my daughter shifts.
