I fell in love with this shirt the INSTANT I saw it in person. Taking it out and putting it on, only strengthened that adoration. Problem is, they only had it in a collar size 15... Most shirts fit me best in sizes 15.5 or 16, depending on the brand. Kenneth Gordon (and its sister company Gitman Brothers) however makes their shirts with enormous body sizes. So this one actually fit me in the body... unfortunately, the collar was way too tight for me. I have a broad neck, and I like some extra room in the collar, so even though most shirts fit me best in the body at 15.5 or 16, I usually have to get 16.5 or 17 and tailor the body to fit.
Long story short, I had to send it back. But the point is how difficult it was for me to do so. This is one hell of a shirt; as others have noted, the herringbone weave is large, deep, and extremely prominent. Great way to add some pattern to a gray suit-gray tie combination without bringing out flashy colors. If these ever come back in stock, I'm definitely grabbing one. This would be a five-star rating if not for the fact this brand makes their shirt bodies so enormous, causing the armholes to be too large and the chest pocket too low. Personally , I would have the chest pocket removed - this shirt is too formal to benefit from its presence.

I really wanted to get a few American made dress shirts, without spending a fortune. These are very nice, a heavy / thick cloth. The herringbone pattern is very distictive, and as mentioned by others, is not subtle. For example I have patterned ties that I'd not wear with these to avoid a clash of patterns since the herringbone is so prominent. The quality and cloth is very nice, and I'm impressed. The sizing appears to be different from what I'm used to, mostly in the neck, which I felt ran big. I bought a white and blue and felt the sizing wasn't consistent between the 3 shirts I bought. Still very happy and impressed.

The biggest single issue with this shirt is the location of the chest pocket. The pocket is placed very low on the shirt, which placed the bottom of the pocket near my navel, which is very strange. I have never had a shirt with a pocket like that and it detracts from an otherwise good shirt.
