Nice snug fit, super soft inside. And not just for men - I'm female, 5'10", generally wear a size 16 and the large fits perfectly. They don't sag, like my last pair (Lowe Alpine). Great on their own with a long tunic top, great as a base layer. And they're made in the USA, I'm trying to buy as mu...

I have several pairs I bought a few years back. They were definitely heavyweight, very warm and fit well. These were so thin you can almost see through the, the fit is VERY small and no stretch. I even went back to my order history to make sure I got the right size. This product is not as advertized, and now I have to pay shipping to return them.

Used to be a great product. It was definitely heavyweight, very warm and fit well. What I just got was midweight at best, fit small and less stretch. I use Sierra trading Post all the time but have been recently disappointed that some stand by products are not what they have been described to be nor what they used to be.

This is a very good product. A good quality fleece and heavy weight without feeling bulky. It has an appropriate amount of elasticity so it fits snug. Putting them on makes the world feel 10 degrees warmer. Only complaint is the nuisance of no fly in front. I am 5'9" with a 34 waist and a medium fits nicely.

I had been looking for a pair of heavyweight, stretch polartec fleece pants for years. My old ones were so worn I could see through them. I ordered numerous pairs until I hit on these. I wear these EVERY day during the winter riding my bike to work, and often under outerwear when it's really cold. Nothing beats these for baselayer. I've started giving these to friends for presents, including my friend who runs in the winter in Canada. He swears by them. Now that's an endorsement! These do run a bit long in the leg - I'm 5'10" and the mediums are quite long, but that's better than too short.
Yes, these base layers are different than any I've ever seen! When I got them out of the box, I thought these are not what I was looking for & my husband said the same thing. They looked like sweat pants, very thick & looked baggy not tight fitting. I said, "well try them on any way!" He couldn't believe how wonderful they were. They are tight fitting, so warm & so comfortable! He looks forward to wearing them when the cold gets here! I highly recommend these to keep you warm & very comfortable.
Has not to date on the 3 pairs that we use! Brendan reports that these are the best long underwear ever.

I have not taken them out of the package, because they appear to be so thick that I'm sure they will be too warm. I had a different impression of how thick they were from the photos. But the price was so appealing that I can't even justify sending them back. Maybe I will pass them on to a family member who skis. Generally speaking, based upon past experience with clothes, cotton/poly blends are the worst at "pilling" as you call it. 100% polyester does not pill at all. These are nylon/poly, which I predict will not pill at all. They do not have a fly, so they are unisex garments. Other similar base-layers have flys.

Not so far and if they did I don't know anyone who would not wear pants over them.

I wear these all the time and have seen no pilling.

being a woman, I really cannot say, but these are very thick - which might be good if you are in snow country.

I just tried these on and I wear a 32 inseam. There was some bunching of material around the ankles, so they will work for someone with a 34 inseam. I'm very impressed with them as they keep my legs very warm.
