Nice snug fit, super soft inside. And not just for men - I'm female, 5'10", generally wear a size 16 and the large fits perfectly. They don't sag, like my last pair (Lowe Alpine). Great on their own with a long tunic top, great as a base layer. And they're made in the USA, I'm trying to buy as mu...

I am 5' 11.5" and 160-165 lb with a 31-32 waist. I got a medium and it was almost impossible to wear; very tight. I returned it for a large and that was pretty much perfect. I wear a Med in essentially everything when it comes to outdoor clothes, so I would consider this a definite size up. It is form fitting in the Large even, but that is how I think this piece is supposed to be.
The material is better than I expected for the cost, smooth outside and fuzzy fleece inside. Other reviews are all over the place, and this L seems thicker and warmer than the M I returned, so I wonder if there are different production origins in here. I like the L enough that I may order another, see if the build is consistent on those.

Ugh. The fabric is thin, the sizing ran waaaaay small and there was very little stretch in the fabric. I have other powerstretch clothing and it is nothing like this. Either Polartec has gone downhill or this fabric was taken from the company dumpsters. I ordered the blue - not sure if color makes a difference since there are good reviews on this product.

I have worn these as a base layer in sub 0 weather and stayed nice and warm. They are very comfortable and don't itch at all. I read reviews that said these ran a little small so I got the large (I have a 32 waist, 32 inseam), but in retrospect a medium probably would have been a better size for me.

Ordered these, they arrived quickly. Wore them during a snowmobile day trip in -4 temperatures. They worked as advertised, they kept me warm and dry and they did not bunch or bind or limit range of motion - yes they are breathable and yes they wick away moisture. I was initially surprised by the tightness of the fit and thought, as with other base layers I have purchased in the past, the tightness would cause them to slide off my hips and down my legs. I considered returning them for a larger size, but I wore them and they stayed in place and I actually forgot about them until the end of the day. Very happy with my purchase.
Yes, these base layers are different than any I've ever seen! When I got them out of the box, I thought these are not what I was looking for & my husband said the same thing. They looked like sweat pants, very thick & looked baggy not tight fitting. I said, "well try them on any way!" He couldn't believe how wonderful they were. They are tight fitting, so warm & so comfortable! He looks forward to wearing them when the cold gets here! I highly recommend these to keep you warm & very comfortable.
Has not to date on the 3 pairs that we use! Brendan reports that these are the best long underwear ever.

I have not taken them out of the package, because they appear to be so thick that I'm sure they will be too warm. I had a different impression of how thick they were from the photos. But the price was so appealing that I can't even justify sending them back. Maybe I will pass them on to a family member who skis. Generally speaking, based upon past experience with clothes, cotton/poly blends are the worst at "pilling" as you call it. 100% polyester does not pill at all. These are nylon/poly, which I predict will not pill at all. They do not have a fly, so they are unisex garments. Other similar base-layers have flys.

Not so far and if they did I don't know anyone who would not wear pants over them.

I wear these all the time and have seen no pilling.

being a woman, I really cannot say, but these are very thick - which might be good if you are in snow country.

I just tried these on and I wear a 32 inseam. There was some bunching of material around the ankles, so they will work for someone with a 34 inseam. I'm very impressed with them as they keep my legs very warm.
