Nice snug fit, super soft inside. And not just for men - I'm female, 5'10", generally wear a size 16 and the large fits perfectly. They don't sag, like my last pair (Lowe Alpine). Great on their own with a long tunic top, great as a base layer. And they're made in the USA, I'm trying to buy as mu...

This pair of Porlartec stretch bottoms are the best fitting and best feeling base layer pants I've ever had. I just put them on for the first time and the high quality of their design is evident immediately. I have not worn them into the cold yet, but those who have mention how they do keep you warm. I am looking forward to using these under my Gortex bibs while hiking in the cold, snowy (and hopefully NOT!) wet Andes Mountains in Patagonia later this year. I highly recommend these!

these base layer pants are awesome. i thought they would be thinner material but when they arrived they were a much heavier weight than i thought. i needed replacements for both thin and thick base layer pants so these were perfect. they are thick but not bulky or baggy. the length is perfect and they are soft and comfortable.

Bought these for my 18 yr old son. He really liked the comfort of the product, fabric and it did keep him warm outdoors. It seemed to run a little small. Medium was a little too tight, so we easily exchanged for large which was great. He is a 30 to 32 waist depending on fit (does not like tight pants) and a 32 length. The fabric is smooth on the outside and a nice comfy fuzz on the inside, which traps your body heat to keep you warm. We have purchased other long underwear that were just so thin. This is much better.

My husband didn't think they were going to work because they were so thick, but once he put them on he loved them! They really do fit snug just like base layer pants should, yet they are very warm & thick.
Has not to date on the 3 pairs that we use! Brendan reports that these are the best long underwear ever.

I have not taken them out of the package, because they appear to be so thick that I'm sure they will be too warm. I had a different impression of how thick they were from the photos. But the price was so appealing that I can't even justify sending them back. Maybe I will pass them on to a family member who skis. Generally speaking, based upon past experience with clothes, cotton/poly blends are the worst at "pilling" as you call it. 100% polyester does not pill at all. These are nylon/poly, which I predict will not pill at all. They do not have a fly, so they are unisex garments. Other similar base-layers have flys.

Not so far and if they did I don't know anyone who would not wear pants over them.

I wear these all the time and have seen no pilling.

being a woman, I really cannot say, but these are very thick - which might be good if you are in snow country.

I just tried these on and I wear a 32 inseam. There was some bunching of material around the ankles, so they will work for someone with a 34 inseam. I'm very impressed with them as they keep my legs very warm.
