Decent Backup GaiterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Northwoods Year 'Rounder from Northern WI on Tuesday, November 24, 2015I ordered this gaiter as a backup to a Turtle Fur fleece gaiter I got years ago, and a Smartwool wool gaiter. It is in-between the two: less snug and warmer than the wool gaiter; thinner than the Turtle Fur. I have a long neck that needs to be sheltered from the wind or else I am cold no matter what. So I plan to wear this gaiter in "medium cold" temperatures: 15+ in the damp Midwest. We'll see how this gaiter works out.

I also am not wild about the contrasting seam. I will be keeping this as an extra for shoveling as it was so inexpensive.

I like a really snug fit; no air at all getting in, and this one is kind of loose, so I have to double it over. It does the job of protecting my neck from drafts, but I might purchase a child's gaiter in the future for a more snug fit.
