I ordered a large and it was way to short in the length of the body and the sleeves. I don't think ordering an XL would have made a difference. The pants are great though and they keep him toasty warm in the fridgid Michigan winter. Buy the pants but be warned about the top.

And I'm sure this does it, but the small was way too small for me. It's tight around the collar, the sleeves come up well below the wrist, and most annoying for me, I can't tuck it into my pants, so when I bend over the small of my back is exposed. I ain't here to give a show in winter. Please understand, guys; I think this is heavy enough for what I need to keep warm for these cold winters. It's just a size issue. That's why I am going to return this soon.

First time wearing polypropylene, and although it feels somewhat stiff compared to my other polyester thermals, they are soft and warm. Nice for sleeping in cold weather and casual wear at home.

Answer they are not fleece but the inside is soft like fleece. if it was me i would just find a expidition weight bottom and not worry about it. match the color if you have to be seen in them?
