They fit under my loose jeans, but barely. They felt like cheap poly coming out of the package, but ended up being pretty comfortable. Glad I kept them for super-cold festival nights... but I won't be working out in them.

Pros:
Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Soft
Cons:
Not warm enough
Best Uses:
Everyday Wear, sleepwear
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Fit:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought these because I thought they would be an inexpensive option to wear under my ski pants for warmth. I wear a size 1X womens(20W) ski pant, the XX LARGE fit me well under them. I wore them today, and my butt was very cold all day. It was 48 degrees on the mountain, warm by most winter standards. I was sweating as I went down the mountain and walked around, but while sitting, my butt was very cold. The only benefit of these over the cotton stretch pants I had been wearing is that they didn't stay damp from sweat. So they do work for sweat moisture wicking, however when we walked back to the car, I sank in a few snow banks and the bottoms of my polarskins got wet, and stayed wet for the ride home. They are only 1 step above cotton stretch pants.

As a base layer, which was my intended use, it is too bulky under regular pants -- probably ok under ski pants. Also, next to the skin, not as friendly as wool. So I wear it as an outer garment over thin-wool underwear, and that is a wonderfully warm combination. I like the slim hips. Legs are a bit long, but doubled under, there's an extra layer round the ankles when saving energy indoors.

When I read the discription it indicated that these were "heavy weight" material. I work outside all day and was excited to find a pair of womens long underwear at this price indicating heavy weight. Upon wearing them to work I was extremely cold and had to add layers to accomidate the weather. I purchased a pair of non-name brand long underwear from a large box store for even less, that I do not have to add layers to stay warm. I would not address these as "heavy weights" more for mild temps. 40-50 degrees.
