    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought 2 pair for my husband who works out in the cold and wears coveralls over jeans. I wanted thick, warm fleece for him to be able to move freely and be 'functional' for men. I assumed they had a fly, since they are mens pants but I was wrong. Sadly I sent them back. Too bad, I liked everything else about them, they were a heavy, soft fleece...just right for outdoor use under work or hunting gear but not 'functional' for men. They are acutally too heavy for around the house unless you keep your thermostate at 50%.
