So I have a few pairs of these in black I use to walk the dog. Thick, warm, great tucked into boots. Ordered 3 more in black and 2 in purple. Purple were the same, the black ones were very cheaply made, not at all the same product as previous order. These new ones are see thru! Checked the specs and...

These are super warm. I ride my bike year-round in Chicago, and wearing these under jeans will keep me warm to about 20 degrees. They could be a bit stretchier, but once I have them on under pants, I don't notice.

I was surprised by how hefty these 'base layer' bottoms are when I saw them initially. I even thought about returning them but then the temperature dropped to zero so I thought I'd give 'em a try. They are super warm (too warm for inside for any amount of time) and kept my legs nice and toasty! They are very comfortable, too - no binding even though it's a close fit.

I'm in my 60's, 5'11", and these pants were plenty long and the waistband comes up to my waist comfortably, and the fleece-lined water and wind-resistant outer finish keeps me warm and dry. The elastic waistband does not ride down when I sit or move. I've looked everywhere, and these pants are the only ones to fit so well and keep my legs warm. Very well priced.

My husband bought a purple pair for me as a holiday gift. I was very pleasantly surprised at how warm, thick, and stretchy they were. They kept me wonderfully toasty on a cold evening spent outside, walking around town and watching New Year's Eve fireworks. I would give them five stars! I decided to order more in black and gray. Disappointment! Neither the gray nor the black is as hefty and as cozy as the purple pair! The fabric is a lot thinner and "wimpy". What gives? They are going back!
