Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pine Cone from Western Washingiton on Wednesday, November 12, 2014Well made knife with a very non-slip grip. I have big hands and it fits my hand well. Comes with a nylon belt sheath as well which is good because this would be a big knife to fit into some pockets. This would make a good camp knife and I have put it into my 72-hour emergency kit.
For someone with smaller hands it might be too large to be comfortable.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Scootmikey from So CA on Thursday, June 12, 2014I love this knife..
It is made in the traditional lock back style that I grew up with in the 70s and 80s. The big difference is the Non-slip, injection-molded polymer grip with finger contours. It makes this knife so easy to hold on to.
I always carried this model in the 80s and didn't even know any were still available. I bought this kinda for nostalgia but that wont stop me using it today!
Reviewed by daryl from kansas on Friday, May 30, 2014As I have very large hands I was looking for a bigger knife and this one fits the bill perfectly. Sharp, sturdy and afforable I'm glad I bought two of them.
Reviewed by Larry L from Baltimore, MD on Monday, March 10, 2014This is a great knife. I knew it would be large and somewhat heavy and it is. That's what I wanted. I like folding pocket knives and this one is all business. Nice ergonomic grip, good and substantial blade. Its right there at the upper limit of how large a folding knife can be and still be a pocket knife. I find I can easily fit it in my pocket, but you definitely know its there. No clip of any sort (too big for that) but they do supply a well-made belt sheath. The metal is of good quality and it came fairly sharp, although I was able to sharpen it even a little more very easily. Its made of a good metal that is easy to sharpen and holds an edge well.
If this is what you want and you know what you're getting, its a great deal and value at the STP price, especially when it goes on sale. Just understand that this is a large knife, though it will still fit in a pocket.
