At the closeout price, these boots are a good value. Not a top of line boot, but decent quality for the price. Bought primarily for shoveling snow and a couple of ski trips a year. Have only had one chance to really use and they performed well and seemed to be true to size. Only negative is that the thick round laces will not fit into the two upper buckles. Had to swap out the laces with more traditional flat laces and they worked fine,

As others have mentioned the speed lace eyelets at the top were to closed to allow the laces in. When forced they break, they appear to be made from plastic.

Had a terrible experiece with these boots. The lacing hooks at the top of the boot are made with some kind of strain hardened metal and are extremely brittle...especially at cold temps. One lacing hook pulled completely out of the gromit and another sheered right off within two days of receiving the boots. The lacing hooks were formed with extremely small tolerances for the laces and it was a serious effort just to get the laces inside. The laces started to abrade quickly, one even fraying after just a couple of ties...then the lacing hooks started to break, so I gave up. These will be in the mail tomorrow for a return.

These are very comfortable boots. They feel as though your feet are tucked away in bed under a warm blanket.

Fantastic boots. However, expect to replace the laces with either more narrow or flat laces. The ones they come with need to be forced into the lace hooks.

This product needs to be modified to be useable. I would never recommend it. Eyelets don't have room for laces to slip into them, and are too brittle to bend open--they break under gentle pressure.

I bought a pair of these for work. I need something durable, waterproof, and lightweight/comfortable enough to wear all day long. These fit the bill almost perfectly. They are very comfortable, and the waterproofing so far seems to be holding. They still feel as good at the end of the day as they did when I put them on! The tread is particularly impressive. It is rugged and aggressive through ice, snow, and mud, while still feeling in touch with the ground. You don't have to sacrifice any flexibility or sensitivity through the soles, and they definitely never feel stiff or clunky. As described, they keep my feet toasty warm, even in negative temperatures, although I have found that this is only true when I am moving. While driving or during periods of inactivity my feet get a little cold, but warm up again within a few minutes. I guess this the price to pay to avoid the weight and bulk of heavier insulation. Also, the upper lacing hooks are so narrow, I found it quite hard to get the laces into (or out of!). I thought I may be able to bend them out some, but they seem to be so sturdy I'm afraid they might pull right out of the boot. So I just skip them entirely and wrap the laces around the ankle instead. So far, these are the only drawbacks I can find with these boots, and if their durability is anywhere near as good as their 1st impression, I will be buying them again and again! Thanks Khombu!!

My uses: Casual walking, ridig a motorcycle. Biggest issue is that the top two eyelettes are to tight for the laces. Makes it very difficult to tie them. I tried to pry an eyelette apart slightly and it broke. The eyelettes look like metal but are plastic. They might work with thinner laces.

The product arrived on schedule, which satisfied me. I liked the combination of the colors and I was surprised by the lightness considering the size of this boot. Good stuff for a very good price!
