Kial Ikat Jacket - Shawl Collar (For Women)

I was pleasantly surprised at the great quality of this jacket for the price paid. Your friends will think you spent much more than you did. I chose the Rio Red, which is more of a rich burnt red, not a bright color, with subdued splashes of blue. The colors are lovely! I expected typical and boring fleece in this price range, yet it looks and feels like soft wool with an expensive look. It has enough weight to hang right, and it's not flimsy. It fits true to size, and if the sleeves are too long, they can be rolled up and still look great with the blue trim. I'm 5'7", 150 pounds, and the large was perfect. The buttons really set off the jacket, and they were wrapped in paper upon opening. Unfortunately, there is a problem with mine, on the front where it buttons down the chest, the fabric was cut slightly off, and the tailor compensated this problem by using additional trim along a 2 inch area. I noticed it right away, others might not, but I'm very particular with my clothes. It is only a slight defect and would have been of no significance had it occurred somewhere else. I would say it's in the most obvious place of all. I debated whether to give it 4 or 5 stars, and choose 5 stars. Perhaps my jacket was the only one with a problem. Kial is a brand I was unfamiliar with, but they've got my interest now.

This is one of those items that causes you to spontaneously smile as you pull it out of the shipping box. Quality fabric, fit and construction as well as beautiful detailing. Although a synthetic fleece, the fabric feels like soft boiled wool without any coarseness or itchiness. Is a versatile favorite for me as it can be worn casually or dressed up a bit. Love, love, love it!

The workmanship on this jacket is awesome. I have never seen seams finished so nicely. The style is not my most favorite, but I thought it serve as a versatile jacket to leave at the office for those impromptu meetings and changes-in-weather when one needs a jacket for warmth or to upgrade a casual outfit. It is very nice quality for the price. The only downside is that the sizing runs large (in my opinion) and I would have prefered a trimmer fit. I ordered a small and am 5'7" (120 pounds). I am slim, and the jacket is a little loose.
