    These sheets are AWFUL... not flannel at all... more of a stiff fine weave canvas almost... thick but not soft or fuzzyy. how on earth did they get a high rating from so many people? Did I get 2 sets from a bad batch ? they are not even 6oz, as advertised, they are 5 oz, labeled as such right on the package

    I don't know about the potential disadvantages because I have not washed the sheets yet. They had none of the smell sometimes found on new cloth, so I put them on my bed straight out of the package. I live in the mountains, so the days are beautiful and warm in the spring but the nights are still cool. These flannel sheets are perfect even on nights when I don't need a blanket.
