“Just Okay”

“Cashmere is a lovely luxury fabric and I expect it to be expensive. And this fabric is wonderful, a nice heavy knit that will drape beautifully. But if you're going to use a luxury fabric shouldn't the styling be done well too? So why on earth would you sell a double-breasted sweater that only has one line of buttons? That's right; that second set is ornamental, and backing them is nothing - not smaller buttons, not snaps, nothing. I suspect this is why the picture shows the sweater buttoned all the way up, rather than with one button open, as is normally done with double-breasted items. Without that second row of interior buttons, this sweater will tend to shift a bit when slightly open - it won't sit right. Frankly, I'm disappointed that fabric and styling don't match in this item. A little more care in design would have resulted in a really outstanding piece. As it is, this sweater is, eh, just okay.”
