“Just Okay”

“Cashmere is an expensive luxury fabric. This sweater uses it to good advantage - the double knit cashmere has a wonderful heavy hand and a nice drape. Which is why the lack of a second set of buttons inside the double-breasted front is so puzzling. Without these - or anything like hidden snaps, or smaller anchor buttons - the sweater will hang oddly if unbuttoned at the top, as double-breasted collars are usually worn. I'm thinking that's why the photo here shows it buttoned all the way up; they couldn't make it sit right if it were open. This was a very expensive piece at retail price. At STP's price it's about worth it. But that design flaw means that what could have been a really lovely sweater is instead just okay. What a shame.”
