    This is a good cow call but don't expect to be able to take it into the field and use it without any practice. After a few hours, it sounded as good as as any cow call I've used.

    These calls are so small that they are likely to be at hand whenever needed. Though these are sold as elk calls they also are very effective for calling predators like coyote, fox, and bobcat. A fine value for the hunter who wants to be ready for anything.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    There is no way you can effectively hunt with this contraption, especially if bow hunting. Once you preset the limb length, you are stuck with no freedom of movement. Can be used to shoot at predetermined stationary target effectively (i.e. paper target/block) as the unit does provide stability.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought it on closeout and it broke immediately as I was removing it from the package. There is a very thin plastic part that joins the arm rest to the stick and I found out it takes very little torque to sheer that off. I'm glad it happened at home and not in the field. I thought about sending it back and asking for a replacement but instead I'll probably just use epoxy to rejoin those pieces, and maybe it'll work then.

    It took me a couple minutes of messing with it before it started to sound like an elk call. I was not able to make it sound great by just adjusting lip pressure like it suggested but by sliding the call a little as I blew into it I was able to get a convincing call in a hurry. I loved getting the bonus DVD as well.
