2.0 out of 5 stars. Not for extreme weather or useReviewed by WoolGrower from Northern Maine on Thursday, January 2, 2014Bought these to use for barn chores and snowshoeing in northern Maine. Ok if temps stay above 25' around the barn. Dreadful on the snowshoe trail where they over heat and do not breathe as you warm up with exercise. If you pull them off when they overheat, the interior is so damp it is nearly impossible to pull them back on. I have not used the hand warmer pocket. Maybe that is the secret. Thin wool liners gloves help, but the promise to stop cold must be based on a definition unlike our northern cold. May try to return them even though I have worn them enough to discover their failings.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good to have in emergency kitReviewed by Anonymous from California on Saturday, July 27, 2013Ordered these after another encounter of suddenly inclement weather in High Sierra. Better to have than to have nothing. Light weight, drop in you pack and forget... until next time your can't feel your hands.
