5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect for the coldest winter in 140 years!Verified Buyer Reviewed by LaMegaRubia from Chicago on Wednesday, March 11, 2015Super soft and warm! I haven't had the opportunity to use them for any winter sports but do need to take my dog on daily walks. My hands are always cold but the Kombi Mittens kept them warm. I do live in Chicago and we tied the record for the coldest February in 140 years!

5.0 out of 5 stars. These Mittens were made for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by Manxwife from Boston, MA on Friday, March 6, 2015I love the reviews on this site, they publish all - good and bad. So a review was what led me to order these mittens - a reviewer reported that the mittens were wide and short and must have been made for Shrek. I'm blessed with wide hands and short fingers and finding gloves and mittens which are wide enough and not two inches too long for my hands is almost impossible. Having read the review I decided to try these and they are a perfect for me - in fact I have ordered two more pairs as such a good fit is a rarity. Thank you to Kombi for making a pair of mittens not designed for a pianist, and thank you to the reviewer and Sierra Trading Post for such a useful review.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sue from MN on Thursday, March 5, 2015These mittens are surprisingly warm! When I first put them on I was disappointed, but boy was I wrong. I skied all weekend with these in near zero temps and my hands were warm all day. The fleece lining is soft, and the cuffs are nice and long, plus you can cinch the strap across the wrist for added protection against the snow. I'm very happy with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars. warm and dryVerified Buyer Reviewed by nanibi from Catskills on Wednesday, March 4, 2015I think the on-line description omitted to say that these mittens are the warmest of 3 levels. They ARE warm, and block the wind. The tags do not say if they are washable; I'm going to guess they are. Someone remarked about Kombi gloves that the fingers are short, and that is true for the finger-bag of these mittens as well. They seem designed for people with broad hands rather than those with long slender bones. All said, they have worked well in very cold weather--I use them when walking with trekking poles.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Satisfied for the price.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Linda from Colorado on Wednesday, March 4, 2015These gloves are fine for my purposes. I don't find them as warm as the other reviewers but with a hand warmer insert they are more than adequate. They are waterproof, which is nice. Not sure about the breathable part since it's been really cold and snowy recently. My biggest beef is with the lining. There is something wrong with the stitching which allows it to bunch up when you're putting them on. This makes it difficult to get your thumb in the mitten so you have to remember to hold on to the lining. I find it annoying so I whacked a star.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I was looking for!Reviewed by Anonymous from Chicago, IL on Monday, March 2, 2015I was getting SO sick of owning gloves that always left my hands freezing no matter what I tried. I researched for about a week to try and find gloves that would keep my hands super toasty in very cold weather. I read the reviews for this glove and saw that people said their hands were getting too hot in these gloves. That's perfect for me because I'd rather have the option of taking the gloves off than wishing I had bought a different pair. I wore these outside for 7 hours in 15 degree weather and not even once were my hands cold! Even better is that I managed to drop them in dirty, slushy snow and the water repelled right off of them! I thought for sure that the white part was going to look gross and stained. The moral of the story- you need these gloves in your life.
