I can't imagine ever paying $200 for an avi probe, but $50 bucks is a steal. I've only assembled it, broken it down, and made sure I knew how it worked before stashing it in the pack- hopefully it'll only make it out for a few annual practice runs, but it seems sturdy enough, is plenty light, and not at risk of unintentionally coming apart at the joints. Would definitely recommend.

This item broke on maybe its second use, during a practice session. It broke during deployment and easy probing, not slamming it into anything. It cracked at a junction between two sections. I'd skip this and spend less on an aluminum model.
