Closeouts. Impress bystanders on 3-D terrain with a pair of Komperdell's Bad Boys alpine ski poles. Carbon keeps the weight down without compromising strength. Padded, adjustable straps with zebra-striped, faux fur fleece Composite handles with rubber grip zones
These are very god poles. The grips do not have a very large "butt," but I imagine that this helps keep the pole light. They seem to be very strong, they are certainly very light, and they are very stiff. The straps are a bit small, but they work fine and it is not very difficult to switch a pair over from another pair of poles. Overall they seem like a quality product.

Great Ski poles for the price. Being more on the conservative side, the first thing I did was to change the zebra stripe straps. It was very easy and I like the more traditional plain black nylon staps that are a little longer.

When I took these out of the box I thought they were great! I took them skiing the next day and was convinced that carbon was the way to go! After about three hours skiing (telemarking actually) I had a small crash where I got turned around and almost fell over. During the crash I ran over one of the poles and there was a little crack sound. The result was that with a little shake the pole broke in half! I have had much, much more damaging crashes with my old aluminum poles without any problem. So I would guess that the poles were either defective or that carbon is an inferior product? Who knows. But you might want to look into the Scott RS-10 Ski Poles. I just ordered them and hope they are better!
