I have purchased 3 sets of these poles over the past 3-4 years. Have skied over 250 days on one set. I did have to replace the baskets once, but I used and abused a lot

These poles are OK. They seem to be light, stiff and strong enough. my problem with the poles is the design on the wrist staps - very, very poor. the reason that i wanted these poles is mostly because of the wrist strap padding. there isn't really much padding, but the straps themselves are OK in that deptartment. where the poor design comes is the adjustment of the straps, very bad. i can't even explain how it's supposed to be adjusted in not very many words, but it is not easy and the strap gets stuck easily. yesterday during a ski, i was on the side of the trail for 10+ mins trying to adjust the straps to the right lenght and getting it unstuck. this is not exactly what i expect out of allegedly $100 retail nordic poles and is very frusterating. they also are a bit longer than stated (about 3 - 5 cms) and they cannot be cut because the grip doesn't come off. i got these for about $45 incl. shipping from STP, which i think it too much for the quality, i definitely do not think they are by any stretch of the imagination $100 poles. i am however going to keep them to avoid the hastle of sending them back..
