“Crazy expensive -- but reasonable with the healthy Sierra discounting... The powerlocks slipped the first time I used them. I turned the screw and they have been solid (and still easy to adjust)ever since... The super-lightness of the poles is somewhat cancelled by the large baskets. Ideal for backcountry. For resort skiing, I may try to find smaller Komperdell baskets, though the baskets aren't so huge they're silly -- they're simply not as light as I expected.”
