Reviewed by JC from Upper Penninsula, MI on Monday, February 10, 2014I don't like messing with straps when I hit the lift lines and was excited to see the old style grips. I bought a pair that were a little long but with some twisting was able to remove the grips and cut the poles shorter with a hacksaw and return the grips. The appear to be on there solid and I don't anticipate any issues. I still use straps for big powder days, but these poles will be my primary gear.
Reviewed by ljwinco from Colorado on Wednesday, January 29, 2014My husband likes this style handle but they are very hard to find. These were exactly what he wanted, I ordered the same size as written on his old ones but these were much too long. No problem though, he removed the handles, cut down the tubes and put the handles back on. Perfect! And a great price too.
Reviewed by Fishski from Utah mountains on Tuesday, January 28, 2014Nice heavy duty poles, like the sabre grip, kinda tight though with heavy gloves.
Reviewed by ski mom from ct on Sunday, January 19, 2014My son was looking for strapless poles. Komperell is the only company I could find with"sabre grips", but they are expensive. I was psyched to find them at Sierra Trading Post for a more reasonable price. We bought them even though they were too long. We put the grips in hot water to loosen them to remove them. Then we cut them down with a tube cutter and put the grips back on. He now loves his new poles with the sabre grips!!
Reviewed by Most satisfied from Washington on Friday, December 27, 2013Yours was the best source for these saber grip poles. Safer and easier to use than strap models. Just what I was looking for. Perfect!
