Komperdell Contour Titanal Trekking Poles - Anti-Shock, Pair

Recommended by my Wyoming brother for balance when hiking/walking. So far, so good. Haven't used in snowy conditions yet because we have no snow.

I'm an avid hiker who got spoiled borrowing high-end Leki poles. When it came time to buy my own I found these Komperdell poles selling for 35% less than the comparable Leki. These are every bit as good-- and better than the Leki in that there is no vibration from the anti-shock device. I haven't found rubber tips that stay on well, but I'll keep looking. In the first week I trekked in desert sand and gravel, on clean granite, and across ice and snow stretches on high-altitude trails. They worked perfectly in all conditions. With a little effort I was able to separate the sections so I could fit them into my carryon luggage. I plan to buy another pair for my wife. I checked the box for "minimalist" gear style, but "value and function" is a better description.

Haven't use then yet, but soon, plaaning to do trekking and also mountain running. Seen like they will be just perfect.

I like these Komperdell poles. They stay put once you lock them down (tightly). Light and easy to use. Really improve this 63 year old's balance on the trail.

I joined a group of XC skiers who pole hike on hilly terrain in the off season for non-impact training. The poles are just right: light, adjustable length and with shock absorbers. I don' think I need anything more high end for my use. The locking mechanisms work just fine so far.
