I have been using carbon-fiber poles for the last 10 years and these are by far the best pair I have ever owned. I can't believe how light they are, yet they still feel very sturdy.

Have used these poles for both long distance tours and for big elevation tours and they are so light that I don't even know I'm carrying them. My old adjustable poles were twice as heavy and really irritated my neck, shoulders and upper back after using them all day. I didn't understand how important a light pole was until I bought these. They have quite a bit of flex but I haven't really tested their strength by falling on them or pushing on them to get up. The grips are a nice textured suede and are easy to hold with even a slick glove or mitten. The basket that comes with them is a little small at 2.5 inches in diameter and does burrow pretty easily with heavy pressure but should be easy to change since it's a snap on design. Still a bit spendy even at a great price but worth every penny!

Great poles. But I wanted powder baskets and ordered the Kommerdale one's, but they do not fit.

These poles are great. I love how light they are, and they feel very durable (though I've used them only once so far). The downsides are that they came with small baskets (like for racing, not powder) and the baskets were difficult to place on the poles. Also, the handles feel a little weird at first - a little too curved where they contact the palm. But I can swap out the little baskets, and I think the handles will form to my hands after a few uses.

The pole is very light. The grip is unique - it has a sewn layer on the outside. The grip is smaller in diameter than any other pole I have owned, and is uncomfortable. The grip is not round, but is oval. It is uncomfortable if it rotates any in your hand. The pole is not listed as either men's or women's, but it has a graphic that looks feminine.
