They were too big and my son snagged them. He seemed to be entranced with them. The only problem he reported was that the wrist strap was ridiculously too tight and wanted me to remove it. I really, really want a pair of softshell gloves, but can't find any at a reasonable price. These would have been perfect if they had only come in my size!

These gloves are warmer than I expected, which is great! They are sort of bulky, but I can still use them while riding my bike. They feel windproof while walking around etc, but I can feel the wind when I'm on my bike.

I wear mittens in really cold weather, but I bought these for cool weather hiking. They have nice features. Because they were too big I can not comment on the fit, and I had to return the gloves. You could use them for driving also. Even though they could be used for working outdoors, I'd save them for hiking.

I love gloves. I have owned quite a few. When it comes to gloves, you can only own so many. If I were to list the higher-level gloves I've owned, someone would read it and inevitably disagree. I've done it. But, the Freeride glove stands out! Since owning my first PowerShield and Shoeller soft shell jacket, I longed for the day when there would be a glove of the same material available. Stretchy, breathable, essentially waterproof, amazing fit, warmth, low profile... I prized the material from which these jackets were composed - and here it is. These gloves are all of the above. The external material alone would be worth all the while, but they are also lined with Merino wool! They are so warm and low profile. Other waterproof gloves that had to be warm were bulky and noisy - you know what I mean. These are completely off the wall in comfort and design. I use them for all my moderate winter outdoor purposes. They also have a Kevlar reinforced palm. Seriously, Komperdell has pulled out all the stops on this glove and I am a proud owner. Everyone I've let try them on wants to get a pair for themselves.

My hands sweated a little, not because the gloves were warm, probably due to the material, not so breathable.

I ordered a men's medium, and got what I ordered, but it fit like it was a size smaller. They made my hands go numb.

Be aware that these fit like a neoprene glove which will be much too tight for some people, but good for those who need to use their gloved hands. The strap is redundant(you already have drawstrings)and is irritating because it falls through a loop whenever its unwrapped, meaning you must reinsert it with difficulty or leave 6-7 inches of it hanging. Gloves are fairly warm but not sufficient for all day wear in very cold weather. The insides of my gloves often get wet with sweat if I am simply shoveling snow, etc.
