This product will be used this week to climb Mt. Washington. Last year I borrowed this brand of poles to climb out of the Grand Canyon. When I saw the great price, I bought a pair of my own. I am looking forward to using them and seeing how they perform on the broken rocks of the Presidential range in NH.

So I was trying to extend the pole which was tricky and when I finally did it extended past the "do not extend beyond this line" point and the white screw shaped bit snapped. I struggled to adjust these poles. They seemed to stick and require more force thus causing me to push harder and extend beyond the line. yuk.
