Incredibly light weight trek pole. They pack up nice. Really strong. Only negative is the plastic handle can get uncomfortable during a hot desert hike when your hands start to get sweaty.

Bought for my parents to encourage them to walk more. Wanted something lightweight so they would not be burdened but strong enough to provide support.

Lended stability to recent hiking in the Rockies. Baskets are a challenge to lock and remove, but was happy for this after my husband's screw-on style fell off half way through our hike. Will also add cushion tape, as some other purchasers have noted the grips to be hard on the hands, but for the price, very satisfied.

I like using these poles but I think when I go on longer hikes my hands will be quite sore.

Have only used a few times. Seem to fit the bill for stability and lightweight transport. Very easy to adjust height, however changing the tips to the baskets is an adventure we are still working on! They work great for hiking!! Good item, great price!

I've only had occasion to use this poles once (but if I don't leave a comment now, I never will). Poles seem to be as strong as my old Leki Makalus (which cost twice as much eight years ago). The locks held for the entire short hike. The wrist straps have a buckle, instead of the friction lock on my old poles, they work ok but I'm a little concerned they will jamb if they get wet then freeze. All poles (not just these) seem to suffer from "lock slip". I will be surprised if these don't as they get older. A friend of mine never adjusts his in the field, and he's had better luck than I have with lock slip. I'd buy these poles again because I think the more expensive poles are really no better in durability nor strength, and it doesn't hurt as much when you break a cheaper pole.

Is strong, easily adjustable, and well-made...what stops it from 5 stars and what a perspective buyer should know is that unlike most Komperdall poles that give you a choice with removable rubber tip for soft surfaces,to metal/carbide tip for hard surfaces, these poles have non-removable,rubber tips only...though heavy-duty,thru-hikers should carry a spare pair..
