So I was trying to extend the pole which was tricky and when I finally did it extended past the "do not extend beyond this line" point and the white screw shaped bit snapped. I struggled to adjust these poles. They seemed to stick and require more force thus causing me to push harder and extend beyond the line. yuk.

GOOD BASIC POLES BUT, THEY NEED A WAY TO ATTACH THEM TOGETHER FOR STORAGE AND CARRYING WHEN NOT IN USE.

This product will be used this week to climb Mt. Washington. Last year I borrowed this brand of poles to climb out of the Grand Canyon. When I saw the great price, I bought a pair of my own. I am looking forward to using them and seeing how they perform on the broken rocks of the Presidential range in NH.

I am sure that there are better, lighter trekking poles on the market...but these do the job well. I am TOTALLY satisfied with these poles. I have only used them for 30 miles or so, but so far, so good. I looked at poles that cost 2-3 times as much. I would recommend these to my friends.

Locking mechanisms are great, easy to use and secure. For my hands the grips are a bit too small around and a slicker plastic would be better, my hands tend to stick to the material and I would like them to sweat and slide.

Not the lightest poles on the market, but great value for a solid set of poles. The usual high quality product one would expect from Komperdell.

Used these poles for the first time on a 2 day backpacking trip in the Colorado mountains. They performed great! I'm just a casual hiker and couldn't have handled the climbing without these great poles.
