Komperdell Nordic Skater Carbon Ski Poles - 120-180cm, Pair

The shaft is EXCEPTIONALLY light, which is what you would expect from 100% carbon, but the baskets and the strap are both heavy/cheap, making the pole have a strange weight balance. Also, the pole is rather flexible. I also hate the pull cord as a strap removal system - Leki and Swix have much better push-button systems. I plan to replace the strap and handle on the komperdell pole with a leki (as long as the pole diameter is compatible...) Overall, though, this is a GREAT deal on a carbon pole!

[...] They are better ones than I paid for. Aside from hating lime green color, the grips on these do not fit at all easily around a pair of gloves. The strap is just way too small to fit around them. I have to figure out some way to extend the velcro. Also, baskets tiny - definitely for groomed terrain & not backcountry.

There is no way to fit your hand into the strap with a glove. I wear size 8 glove and my hand will barely fit without a glove.

too flexible for a big guy. I'll keep them as a spare... I tend to break poles. It was a gift, so it won't go back.

I thought the poles seemed nice - I used them to replace a pair I was borrowing from my school nordic team, and they definitely seemed nicer - lighter and higher quality. I'm no expert, though, so you may want to look at other reviews for advice on quality. As others have complained, the hand straps were rather small. I'm a teenage girl, and I found that they fit just fine if I had bare hands or thinner gloves, but with the thick mittens I normally wear, they were a tight squeeze. However, I think this problem could be fixed with some velcro straps sewn on, and the poles seemed nice otherwise. I plan to do this to adjust them for next season. Also, I saw other reviewers complained about these poles being too flexible - this wasn't a problem I had as a lighter girl. Overall, I think these poles are best for lighter people with smaller hands.
