“These poles are light weight, stiff and strong. Since that are not sectional, there is no need to readjust the length periodically. The grips are comfortable, but don't seem to be sturdy (time will tell). The tips are steel rather than carbide. Based on my experience, the tip will be gone in a 14-16 months (1200-1500 miles). Carbide tips would have garnered another "*". Even so, I like the the poles a lot. I would buy them again. I use these poles for more causal hiking. I have set of collapsible carbon poles for backpacking.”
