This is my first pair of trekking poles so I can't compare them with any other poles. I have only backpacked about 10 miles with these poles so far, I had my pack loaded with most of my gear and the poles performed flawlessly. They stayed at the length I set them at, I put a lot of my weight on them to make sure they would not buckle, they held me. The cork handles are fine, my hands did not sweat. They did not slip on rocks. Buy them you will not be sorry.
