Got these for fitness walking. Spring and freeze / thaw cyles leaves unpaved trails and unpaved paths very muddy, so I started walking on paved recreational paths, sidewalks, and roads. The tips are pretty much a consumable item under these circumstances. Have started using crutch tips and modifying to suit needs. But the jury-rig creates its own set of compromises.

The tips do not fit. I have two walking sticks and the tips have to be forced on and you that they stay on

Perfect fit for Komperdell hiking poles (the ones at REI are too big).

I use a Komperdell walking pole occasionally, and I left mine at Union Station in Chicago. Happily I have a backup Komoperdell walking pole, but it needed a flat tip to cover the spike at the end of the cane. These tips are exactly what I wanted!
