5.0 out of 5 stars. A must for hardsurfaces

If you are going to use your trek pole on cement, rock, hardwood floors, or any other hard surface you need the rubber boot. The carbide tip is noisy and will slip on surfaces it cannot penetrate, on a indoor floor it will cut into wood and scratch tile so beware. You will need to get three small washers put a dot of superglue on them and then place in bottom of boot. Make sure the hole in the washers fits around the carbide tip of your pole and that you have enough washers to stop the tip from reaching the bottom of the rubber boot otherwise your rubber boot will be history in about a day.
