    Pros:
Less likely to bend, Less likely to dent, Telescoping, Various sports
    Cons:
    They are somewhat heavier
    Best Uses:
Downhill Skiing, Hiking, Telemarking, Training, X-country-good upper body
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
More durable and better integrity than standard ski poles. Less likely to dent or bend. Telescopes shorter for uphill and longer for downhill hiking. Purchased for downhill skiing, but poles are multifunctional. Great for teens that are hard on poles and who are still growing.

    Pros:
Comes with snow basket, Good Value, Great locking mech, Lightweight, Stronger due to 2-section
    Best Uses:
    Snow shoeing, Trekking
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I really like these solid, lightweight poles. Was a little concerned about 2-section vs. 3-section, but they collapse short enough for backpacking and are more stable, stronger and lighter as a result. Also, only one latch to operate with less to go wrong in the field.

I use these when I snowshoe mainly They offer steadiness and help with climbing hills. I have used them when walking my dog on snowy streets, helping with my balance when tugged along on ice. Good weight for sturdy poles.

I got these for backcountry ascents to use with snowshoes/snowboards. These are my first Komperdell gear purchase, and they seem to be very well made and do the job great. My only complaints — and they're marginal — are 1) they seem to be on the heavier side. It might partly be due to the oversized and extended grips. And 2) I wish they'd collapse a bit more to be shorter so that they could be packed away easier (like Black Diamond Z-poles do.) However, both these metrics were probably stated in the Product Specs. When I'm skiing/snowboarding with the family, I'll end up using these for my daughter as she grows older as her ski poles. They'll adjust in length as she grows. And the stock grips and baskets are great for general snow conditions.

Used these just today on an Oregon Coast Range Mt that still had 3 feet of snow. Extended the poles for touring up, then shortened for some tele turn in the meadows, then back to longer for the trip down. Very easy to adjust and good locking strength. Baskets interchange with other Komperdell baskets, a real plus.
