I am 70 and have slightly impaired balance and the use of only one hand, but lead a busy life. The poles are absolutely what I need. They boost my confidence and mobility and are gloriously elegant and modern, while being highly convenient to carry often, with their low weight and tiny packed size. Of course I can only use one at a time. Guess what - a spare!

Bought these for my girlfriend, she found them easy to use but collapse easy during first few uses. They arrived with the wrist strap unattached but was able to fix that fairly easily. They are light and stable.

Used these poles for a 2 day aggressive 25 mile hike in Glacier National Park. Loved them! They were lightweight, easily collapsible and thankfully stabilizing enough to keep me on my feet in 60 mph wind gusts at the pass!

My wife has older knees and hands with a touch of arthritis. The pole grips are small enough for her hands, and when held correctly, i.e., with most weight on her wrists and hands on grips in a loose O configuration, the poles will provide relief for knees and hands. These should work well for hiking in Denali in Alaska.

Accidentally left my last pair (which I have had for several years) when I was packing up after my last hike. I immediately went on line and found another pair. Of course Sierra had the best deal. My hiking buddy was so impressed with how well they functioned, even in water, she had me buy her a pair too! They save wear and tear on my knees and have saved me from a fall more than once. They are so light and pack up so compact, they are really easy to carry. I love them.

Hurt my knee last year so finally had to get some trekking poles. These were lightweigt and collapse to a good, short length. First time used, the compass fell out. Then they collapsed when I didn't want them to. They are impossible to adjust once cold, so use for snowshoeing is out. They will be going back.

I use a trekking pole when walking on steep downhill grades, river & creek crossings and rocky terrain. These poles are very lightweight and retract nice & short for out-of-the-way stowage on my day or overnight pack when not required. I love them and have bought them before.

I have arthritic and increasingly unreliable knees, so reliable poles are a must. I've now used these poles on a strenuous backpacking trip (lots of vertical) and on occasional day hikes, and I love them. So does my mother, who borrowed one over a tricky spot in a trail and said it made all the difference. The poles live in the side pouch of my day pack, where they ride unnoticed, they're so light. Their straps adjust quickly and easily to accomodate bulky gloves or smaller hands, and the poles themselves also telescope or collapse swiftly and (so far) only when directed to. These poles are exactly what I hoped for.
