She has a bad knee and is always worried she will fall in the snow and ice if her knee gives out. So I got these thinking they would do the job and she LOVES them! She said there is a world of difference between walking unattended and having poles to support her. Also, because she once was a skier, she is overjoyed because it reminds her of skiing.

There is no problem with the length, there are two points of adjustment and they are plenty long. I have never used poles before except for skiing and snowshoeing so this was new and different for me but turned out to be quite handy. Even used them to help support and lift the tarp we slept under while camping.
