I ordered these and the Leki Luau to check them both out. I have never used good hiking poles before, only the cheap heavy ones from [@]. I thought I would like the Leki's more because they have a great warranty and had a more low-key, neutral graphic, but I wanted to also test these since they had ... Read More

I'm 5'2" and finally I don't have to carry around enough metal to support a 6-footer! I have the poles lengthened now for use in snow, and there's still room to expand. I haven't had any problems with poles collapsing.

    Like the smaller grips

This is my second pair of trekking poles. I have something wrong with my left shoulder that bothered me with my previous poles. The Anti-shock made a difference. These were very lightweight. I am 5'3" and they worked fine.

I bought these for my 76 year old mother. She has a bad knee and is always worried she will fall in the snow and ice if her knee gives out. So I got these thinking they would do the job and she LOVES them! She said there is a world of difference between walking unattended and having poles to support her. Also, because she once was a skier, she is overjoyed because it reminds her of skiing.

I bought these for a Christmas gift to give to someone just starting a walk-hike exercise routein. These poles had/have good reviews and excellent price. No complaints.
